DoApp to expand its Real Estate play.

The team has been finalizing many of the components to one of our latest projects. The world of real estate awaits us. We don’t want to sell homes, we want to make life easier for those who do and help bring more profit to their venture.

DoApp has created a series of new tools that will make that happen. I am particularly excited about this project as I have recently decided to start looking for a nice single family residence to call home. I also used to work in the industry as a Mortgage Broker and it excites me to be able to continue to benefit those in my network who will make great use of this new technology.

I was a Mortgage guy during that last year or so of ridiculously lax lenders and was fortunate enough at the time to have previous experience in the telecommunication industry doing b2b sales. This allowed me to get out while the getting was good but I kept in touch with the folks that made that venture worth while, the ones who helped me with the one thing that was really important to me at the time; getting an education in the industry.

I recently spoke with a friend of mine, Arik Orosz who stayed in mortgages. As a matter of fact he now runs Supreme Lending of Eagan. He explained that although it is likely that we haven’t seen the end of the mess that was created within the industry itself, that he is experiencing a bit of a bubble right now and is excited with the fact that lenders are loosening their grip. He has had to hire a few new Mortgage Bankers and that is a good problem to have. As an eternal optimist I like to imagine the worst of the problems are behind us and that right after I buy my home the balance will come back to benefit the sellers as well. In the mean time, what we can do is help the Real Estate Agents, Home Buyers and Brokerage Shops maximize their time, extend their reach and optimize their marketing dollars.

DoApp Inc has created an IDX for the agents, we are among the first to market with a VOW. We created web sites with incredibly clean design and usability and are offering a native iPhone application and/or an application for Android, Blackberry and Palm. With these powerful new tools and an entrepreneurial spirit, I plan on spreading the word and making the offer to take advantage of our products to the good folks in the Twin Cities and eventually beyond. I recall some of my associates trying to get on the good graces of Real Estate Agents by bringing them donuts and chatting it up while hoping to make a connection. At this point I don’t have enough time or donuts to take that approach. Instead, I am hoping to get in front of decision makers of Real Estate Corporations with products that sell themselves, offer a good referral system and focus on making sure our customers are satisfied.
